FIFA 2010 Soccer World Cup
Information
The 2010 FIFA Soccer World Cup will be held in South Africa
between 11 June 2010 and 11 July 2010. This
is the 19th time this world event will take place and it is also the first time
that the tournament is being hosted by a nation belonging to the Confederation
of African Football.
Since its humble beginnings in 1930, the Soccer World Cup has grown
into one of the greatest sporting events in the world and South Africa is proud
to be the host for 'The Greatest Show on Earth'. It is expected that well over a
billion people accross the Globe will be following the tournament.
Preparations
Preparations for the 2010 Soccer World Cup is progressing very
well. Six new soccer stadiums are currently under construction and 4 others are
bing upgraded. Apart from the construction work being done on the stadiums,
there is also major work being done on improving some of the infrastructure.
